Tiger Woods has announced he will be out for the remainder of the golf season due to an ACL tear that took place jogging after the British Open during last season's tour.
The time table has not been set on when Woods will undergo surgery but we do know this will be his third surgery on his knee in the last 5 years. This posses the question, what effect on Tiger's game will this do in the future?
Tiger has decided to do the surgery because Tiger needs time to rehabilitate a double stress fracture of his left tibia, which he said was discovered just before the Memorial Tournament in late May.
With wind coming from Tiger's website of the injury and the decision to stop playing this year people up and down the PGA Tour went into panic mode. The Tour lost its main icon and its big money making machine.
With Tiger out for the rest of the season does the average fan watch the British Open and the PGA Championship?
