Timings everything

Its not completely uncommon to be awoken early in the morning by a random telephone call, but to wake up to a call from your boss to fire you? WOW! The Mets are getting hit hard for their firing tactics of manager Willie Randolph, who was fired at 3:15 AM eastern time Tuesday morning.

Could this possibly one of the worst cases of bad timing? I mean the Mets had a two game winning streak going. They had won three of their last five. They were on a week long west coast road trip. GM Omar Minaya couldn't have done this after their five game losing streak at home?

Not only does it suck to get fired, but at 3 in the morning when your on a business trip across the country. Smooth move Mets, smoooth.
